9th Annual Seed Exchange Conference

Event Theme: ‘Sharing Our Food / Honoring the Corn Mothers

Venue:  Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo

Time:  The ceremony and seed exchange are in the morning, followed by afternoon workshops that relate to the theme of the event.

The Seed Exchange is the main activity of the New Mexico Food and Seed Sovereignty Alliance, of which the New Mexico Acequia Association is a founding member.

The Alliance is an Acequia-Pueblo alliance formed as a basis to protect native seeds from genetic contamination.  The event is intended for acequia and pueblo farmers to exchange their native seeds; general public is admitted for a $5 fee.
